Track conversion by Harmalarm

The track originally comes from the game called Powerslide. This game emerged in the same year as Carmageddon, and features a whole bunch of cool post-apocaliptic tracks. Most of these tracks are really good, as well as this one.

The tracks model has gone through a complicated process;

-extracted the de2 model from the powerslide archive,
-imported the de2 into de2editor, and exported it as a CSV
-imported the CSV into excel,
-used a script to split the model up, and to convert it to TXT
-renamed the TXT to raw,
-imported the RAW into Rhino,
-Exported the track from Rhino as 3ds
-imported the 3ds into 3dMAX
-Captured the textures of the track using OGLE and renamed them
-retextured the track in 3dMAX
-and from there on followed the track making tutorial...
and there you have it! the track in Carmageddon! Phiew...

This track is my first Carmageddon Creation Ever! Yh... Not a bad one if I might say so. 

Bugs;

It is only lacking powerups at the moment. This has to do with the fact that I don't have that much plaything experience to take the time and place them all by myself. Expect an updated one with powerups in the near future.

Oh yeah, and watch the checkpoints. They are rather sharp... :)

installment;

as usual, just unzip the track into you main carmageddon folder and replace on of the tracks names by 'deserttrack.txt' in your data\races.txt
